Chatbot and voice assistant testing

Native speakers talk to your chatbot or voice assistant the way real customers do, with slang, typos, mixed languages and follow-up questions, then log every failure with the conversation, a category and a severity your team can act on.

Mera order abhi tak nahi aaya. Status kya hai?

Great news! Here are this week's offers on headphones.

HighMissed intent: order status. The bot didn't understand a request in Hindi and English mixed, which is how many users in India write.

Why test with real speakers

Chatbots are usually tested in clean English with the phrasing the team expects. Real customers write in their own language, mix languages, misspell product names, change their mind halfway through and ask follow-up questions. Testing with native speakers who behave like your customers finds the failures your users would otherwise find first.

We test before launch, after each major model or prompt change, and on a regular schedule if you want to track quality over time.

What we test

Scripted test cases, free exploration, or both.

  • Understanding

Intents, slang, typos, mixed languages and requests split over several messages.

  • Task completion

Whether users can actually check an order, book, cancel or get an answer end to end.

  • Accuracy

Answers checked against your policies, prices and help content.

  • Voice assistants

Spoken requests with real accents and background noise, and how the assistant replies.

  • Safety and escalation

Harmful requests, upset customers and when the bot should hand over to a person. More on red teaming.

  • Tone in each market

Politeness, forms of address and wording that sounds natural to local customers.

How a test round runs

Every failure is logged so your team can reproduce it.

  1. Scope

What the bot should do, the languages, channels and personas to test.

  2. Test plan

Scripted cases per intent and persona, plus time for free exploration.

  3. Testing

Native-speaker testers run conversations and log each failure.

  4. Triage

A lead reviews every log, removes duplicates and confirms severity.

    Lead review QA
  5. Report

Failures by category, language and severity, with full transcripts.

Questions about chatbot testing

What is chatbot testing?

Chatbot testing is checking whether a chatbot understands users, completes their tasks, gives accurate answers and handles difficult conversations safely. It combines scripted test cases with free conversations by testers acting as real customers.

Can you test chatbots in several languages at once?

Yes. Each language is tested by native speakers, and results are reported per language so you can compare quality across markets.

Do you test voice assistants?

Yes. Testers speak to the assistant with natural accents and in normal environments, and we log what it heard, what it did and how it replied.

What does the report include?

Every logged failure with the full conversation, a category, a severity rating and how often it repeated, plus a summary by language and intent.

Plan a test round
