Quotes and pricing
How much does translation cost?
Translation is priced by word count, language pair, subject and deadline. Layout, audio and video work are priced by page, minute or file. You get a fixed price in writing before any work starts.
How quickly do you send a quote?
We reply to quote requests on business days, usually within a few hours. If your deadline is close, say so in the form or book a call.
Do we pay again for text we've had translated before?
No. Translation memory finds sentences translated in earlier projects, and repeated or matched text costs less. The quote shows how many words are new.
Is there a minimum order?
Small jobs such as a single certificate or letter are priced per document, so you don't pay for words you didn't send. The quote shows the price before you commit.
How we work
Who does the translation?
Native speakers of the target language, matched to your subject. A second linguist then reviews every translation against the source before it comes back to you.
How do you check quality?
A second native linguist reviews each translation, automated checks look for wrong numbers, missing tags and inconsistent terms, and the finished file is checked for layout problems. See how we work.
Will we have one contact?
Yes. One project manager handles your project from quote to delivery, by email or phone.
What if we want changes after delivery?
Tell your project manager what you'd like changed. We make the corrections and add your preferences to the glossary so they're applied next time.
Can you handle urgent work?
Often, yes. Send the files with your deadline. For long documents, we can split the work between several translators with one reviewer to keep the style consistent.
Languages
Which languages do you translate?
Major European and Asian languages, Arabic and other Middle Eastern languages, Indic languages, and less common languages such as Pashto, Somali and Tigrinya. Tell us the language pair and we'll confirm it in the quote. See languages.
Do you handle regional variants?
Yes. Tell us the market, and we use a translator from it. For example, Spanish for Spain or Latin America, French for France or Canada, and Simplified or Traditional Chinese.
Can you lay out Arabic and other right-to-left languages?
Yes. Our designers set Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi and Urdu right to left in InDesign and other tools, mirror layouts where needed, and a native speaker checks the finished pages.
Do you provide interpreters?
Yes. Consecutive, simultaneous and remote interpreters for meetings, conferences and appointments. See interpreting.
Files and formats
Which file formats can you work with?
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, InDesign, Illustrator, HTML, JSON, XLIFF, Storyline, SRT and many more. We return files in the same format. See tools and formats.
Can you translate a scanned PDF?
Yes. We convert it to editable text with OCR, translate it and rebuild the layout. The quote shows each step separately.
How do we send large files?
The quote form takes up to 10 files and 20 MB in total. For larger files, put a download link in the message or email us.
Do you work in our CAT tool?
Yes. We work in Trados, memoQ and Phrase, accept packages from your system and return them with your translation memories intact.
Confidentiality
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Send your NDA with your first message and we'll sign it before you send any files.
Who can see our files?
Only the people working on your project. Everyone on our team works under a written confidentiality agreement. See data security.
Can you delete our files after the project?
Yes. Ask your project manager, and we delete your files and any translation memory created for you once the project is closed.
AI training data
How does a pilot batch work?
We label a few hundred items per language from your own data, using your guidelines, with several annotators per item. You get the labeled data and an agreement report before you commit to volume.
Can your annotators work in our labeling tool?
Yes. Annotators can work in your own tool or a hosted platform, or we deliver files in the format your pipeline reads.
Which languages can you cover for AI data?
Major European and Asian languages, Arabic and its main dialects, Indic languages and less common languages on request. We confirm annotator availability for each language in the scoping call. For AI teams.
