Why L&D teams use us

Translating a course is the easy part. The time goes into exporting text from Storyline, re-importing it, fixing every slide where the text no longer fits, re-recording narration, re-syncing animations, and finding out in the LMS that something broke. We do all of that, so your instructional designers can keep building new courses.

One project manager handles every language, and you review in one place: a review link or a test LMS, not a pile of exported files.

What we do for e-learning teams

Most of it is localization. Some of it is building new.

  • Course localization

Storyline and Rise courses translated, rebuilt and tested per language. More on course localization.

  • Voice-over

Native voice artists recorded to your script, then synced to slides and animations.

  • Video subtitles

Subtitles for course videos in SRT or WebVTT, or burned in. More on subtitling.

  • Slides, PDFs and job aids

Handouts, PowerPoint decks and quick-reference guides translated and laid out to match.

  • Games and simulations

Branching scenarios and quiz games built new and reported to your LMS. More on games.

  • VR training

Procedure training in VR headsets, in each language. More on VR.

How a course rollout runs

Your reviewers in each country see the course as learners will, before it goes live.

  1. Source check

We open your .story or Rise files, list fonts, media and anything that can't be translated in place.

  2. Translation

Text, narration scripts and quiz feedback translated with your glossary.

  3. Rebuild and voice

Slides fixed, voice-over recorded and synced, videos subtitled.

  4. In-course review

A native linguist checks every slide and quiz in the published course, then your reviewers do.

    LMS testing QA
  5. Packages

SCORM or xAPI packages, tested in a SCORM test environment or your LMS, plus the source files.

What your team doesn't have to do

The jobs that usually fall to the instructional designer.

  • Export and re-import text. We work in the authoring tool's own translation files.
  • Fix overflowing slides. Every slide is checked and fixed in every language.
  • Find voice artists. We cast, record and sync narration per language.
  • Test each package. We check launch, completion and scoring before delivery.

Questions from e-learning teams

Which authoring tools do you work in?

Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360, and courses built in PowerPoint. If you use another tool, such as Adobe Captivate, send a sample and we'll tell you what we can do with it.

Do you test the course in our LMS?

Yes. We test every package in a SCORM test environment as standard, and in your LMS if you give us a test account. We check launch, navigation, completion, quiz scores and bookmarking.

Can our country reviewers check the course before release?

Yes. We send a review link for each language, where reviewers can leave comments on each slide. We make the changes and send the final package.

Do you record voice-over for courses?

Yes. Native voice artists record to the translated script, and we sync the audio to slide timings and animations. You can choose voices from samples before recording.

How do you price course localization?

By word count for translation, minutes of audio for voice-over, and the number of slides to rebuild and test. You get a fixed quote per language from the source files or a published version of the course.
