What image localization covers
Image localization means replacing the text inside a graphic with a translation, in a matching font and layout, so the image looks like it was made for that market. It can also mean changing currencies, number formats, phone numbers or photos that don't suit the audience.
If you have layered files, we edit the text layers directly. If you only have a flat image, we remove the original text, rebuild the background and set the new text on top.
What we localize
From one hero banner to thousands of product images.
Web and ad banners
Display ads and site banners in every size you run, with text that fits each one.

Labels, numbers and callouts translated, with layout adjusted for longer text.
Software screenshots
Screenshots retaken in the localized interface, or edited where that's not possible.
Product and packaging images
Product photos, pack shots and labels with the on-pack text in the new language.
Social graphics
Posts, stories and carousel images for each platform and market.
Diagrams and illustrations
Technical drawings, maps and illustrated guides with labels and keys translated.
How an image job runs
For large sets, we pull all the text into one spreadsheet first, so you can review it in one place.
Files
You send layered files with fonts, or flat images if that's what you have.
Text extraction
We list every piece of text in each image, with a reference to where it appears.
Translation and design
Native translators translate the list, then designers set the text into each image.
Visual check
A native speaker checks each finished image for typos, line breaks and cut-off text.
Second check QADelivery

Questions about image localization
Can you translate text in a flat JPG or PNG?
Yes. We remove the original text, rebuild the background behind it and set the translation in a matching font. Layered files give a cleaner result and cost less, so send them if you have them.
Do you change images as well as text?
When you ask us to. We can flag photos, gestures, symbols or colors that may not suit a market, and replace them with images you approve.
Can you handle large volumes of product images?
Yes. For large sets, we extract all text into a spreadsheet, translate it once, and then set it into each image. Repeated phrases are translated once and reused.
Which fonts do you use for other scripts?
Your brand font if it supports the script. If not, we suggest a close match, such as a Noto font for Arabic, Thai or Chinese, and include it with the files.
How is image localization priced?
Per image, based on how much text it has and whether it's layered or flat. Large sets of similar images cost less per image. You get a fixed quote from the files.
Send us your images
Send the images or a sample set, or book a call. We reply with a fixed quote per image and language.
