Translation services by industry

Each industry sends us different files, uses different terminology and answers to different rules. We match every project with linguists who know the subject, and with the tools its file formats need.

Typical files from four of the industries we work in.

How industry changes the work

A contract, a patient leaflet and a software string file need different translators, different checks and different tools. When you send a project, we assign linguists who have worked in that subject, use your glossary or build one, and add the checks that industry expects, such as back-translation for clinical studies or a second legal linguist for contracts.

The rest stays the same in every industry: one project manager, a fixed price and date in writing, and a second person checking the work before it goes back to you.

Industries we work in

With the services each one uses most.

The same in every industry

How every project is run, whatever the subject.

  • Linguists who know the subject. Native speakers matched to your industry and document type.
  • A second check. Every translation is reviewed by another linguist before delivery.
  • Your terminology. Your glossary used, or one built and kept for next time.
  • A price and a date in writing. Before any work starts.

Questions about industry work

Do your translators specialize by industry?

Yes. We match each project with linguists who have worked on that kind of document before, such as legal, medical or technical translators, and the reviewer has the same background.

What if my industry isn't listed?

Send us a sample. Most projects fit one of these groups, and if a subject needs a specialist we don't have, we'll tell you before you commit.

Can you use our existing glossary and translation memory?

Yes. Send your glossary, style guide and translation memory (TMX). We use them on your project and send back an updated memory at the end.

Tell us about your project

Send a sample file and tell us your industry, or book a call. We reply with a quote and the linguists we would assign.
